IMVU Membership
To become a IMVU member, you must register a IMVU avatar name and use the IMVU chat client to enter the game environment. Once IMVU players sign in, they are free to buy items for their IMVU avatar or apartment, customize their homepage and so forth. Each free IMVU account shows your IMVU avatar with “guest” in the front of your name. To remove the “guest” prefix, IMVU users can purchase IMVU account upgrades and passes which can also enable access to restricted material if the user verifies he or she is over 18.
